If a better handling, smoother riding bike is not worth $260 to you then yeah, save yer money. An new OEM hunk of rubber is about a third of that price.

yeah i know - was difficult to part with that kind of money
it is a nicely engineered and fabricated piece.
The fact that it works well is almost a bonus.
This really should be an OEM part, but then it would cost triple again, no doubt.
