I had mine done at the same time as the 1000 mile service , 2 hours labour.
Biggest issue i had was with the PCIII , but i had a map made so its sorted now.
My only advice would be choose your pipes carefully , i went with V+H slash cut short shots and have my regrets (another story though).
I had mine done before i picked my bike up, but i wouldnt recomend that. I spent the cash on the se slipons, the harley download and the se air cleaner. After having the bike for awhile ive bought new pipes bought a SERT and a different air cleaner set up, so unless you are going to stick with the set up that the dealer offerts for the stage 1 i would wait and find out whats out there for pipes and fuel management systems that you like. Now that the entire HD line up has gone closed loop there are becoming more and more options. Or you can do like me and spend a bunch of money at the dealers and then tear it all off and spend more to get what i want.
And also about your last thread about American wire wheel, i spoke to them and they offer direct factory bolt on for 06 and 07 models with the 1 inch axle, they quoted me $2194.00 for the 40 spoke. Anyways hope all that helps you.
Wow, guess I will have to wait on the wheels. I'm assuming that's fora set. I was also told that ride wright wheels make a bolt up wheel. It looks like RWW has more options. I plan on putting on the supertrapp road legends x pipes. Now that won't effect break in, right? I see people with these new bikes with aftermarket exhaust so I was just wondering. I would rather put the pipes and re mapping and the like right away, instead of waiting for the 1,000mi.
In the catalog some of these SE parts and kits are covered by the warranty on the vehicle if they are installed when you pick up the bike. At least I think that is what they are saying.
I just picked up my 07 Wide Glide. I had them add the high performance air cleaner, H-D race tuner and Vance & Hines Big Shots Staggered before I left the showroom floor. Have only had the bike since Thursday, but it sounds great and rides like a dream. Go for it now if you can. I can say that I set off my first car alarm before I hit 20 miles on the bike.
had this done right out of the box.
The dealer was more than happy to do it
and I was more than happy to get-er-done.
They will dyno it again at my 1000 miler. Ness Big Sucker Stage 1 BilletAir Cleaner Cover Kit EFI Race Tuner Kit

I always wait for the 1K service...Gives me a chance to see other bikes out there a see combos that work good together...look at bikes and take notice of what pipes look and sound good to you..The best looking pipes may not be the best sounding or performing ones...Plus if you wait..You get to feel the differance...Later..
