Sorry for the delay in response...Leesburg bikefest then a week of recovery of being sick was not awesome!!
I used the kenwood marine media reciever. KMR-M33BT i think was the exact model...i'll check for sure later. There is a problem with using the media receivers rather than a full size CD/media deck. The deck itself is about 2 inches shorter and the mounting system inside the fairing mounts from the back. I had to fab up some **** to get it to hold in there properly. Basically what i'm saying...DON"T GET THE SAME DECK I GOT!!! Any marine deck with a cd player will fit.
As far as speakers, i don't know what speakers Tsukayu sent you as they change every couple months. If they are not marine they will definitely crap out on you. If they are as long as they are powerful enough to handle an amp they rock em!
The fiberglass(it's not plastic), holds up pretty damn well. I have painted, sanded and done a new paint job on the whole bike again recently. Held up great. I will suggest if you are going to open it up get a bit thicker of molding(i used door molding), it will hold up longer and keep more water out.
Finally had a chance give the fairing a decent road test. I put about 200 miles on it since I installed it. It does a pretty good job blocking the wind and I didn't notice a lot buffeting, even while riding during a windy day. The stereo had me baffled for a while. Low speed and sitting still it sounded great, but at 70 mph and above it was worthless. Couldn't even tell what song playing. After reading some posts on the sound system I decided I needed new speakers and ordered them. But, I just happened to find another posting on this forum from a rider that said he had the same issue till he adjusted the bass settings, then it was okay. The stereo has settings for bass and treble that range from +7 to -7. Mine was set to +7. Also anytime you select "Max Sound" the bass jumps to +7. I set the bass to -7 and took it out for a ride. Man, what a difference! I can hear the music perfectly all the way up to 80 mph. Much better. I may be able to dial back in some of the bass now that I know what the issue was. I canceled the order for the new speakers. Sounds better than my Road Glide did at the same speed. So, if you buy this fairing be sure to check the bass and treble settings if the the sounds gets muddy at highway speed.
Thanks for all the great details on this fairing. After a long riding weekend I have decided to bite the bullet and will be ordering this fairing in a couple of weeks. One question I do have...Is there enough room behind the fairing for apes? I'm planning on 16" Holey Rollers on my Fat Bob.

There should be room for the apes. I have Heritage bars and although they are not as tall, they do extend to the top of the fairing. There is a little bit of adjustment in the fairing angle if you need or you could pull the bars back slightly, but I don't think you will need to. Like I said in my post, find the bass/treble adjustment (not hard) and you will be a happy rider.
