Hello all I Love the ride of my JRI shocks but hate the look .. The progressive 430 11" chrome shocks looks GREAT on my bike but ride sucked !!
I am trying to come up with ideas to dress up the shocks
1 ) I dont like the black top nut it does not blend
2) the raw threaded shaft just is ugly
3) the spring nuts are also ugly
ALL IMO
Is there any chrome cover I could get to fit over the black nut ?
Think the stock shock top caps may help ?
what about a blue or black rubber fork boot to hide the spring nuts and threaded shaft ?
Thanks for your thoughts
Hi!
Uh they don't make fork boots for rear shocks that I know of, not saying nobody makes them cause nothing is impossible, but if you were to put those blue boots on those JRI's I'd be surprised if you didn't pull them off again in no time flat. - JMO
For the record IMO those JRI's look absoloutely spanking just the way they are.
However I would definitely remove the yellow reflectors yesterday!
they look yellow to me but they'd still be gone! Front and back. I think those shocks will grow on you! still send a word out to Joe he has tons of good ideas! He is a site sponsor here.
Hard to say what will fit it says honda on the instruction paper, but JRI is not harley either, though I'm sure the bolt holes on the JRI will match up.
Getting back to your original post if you take it apart it can be chromed.
