Default Won't start, bad starter?

Hey Guys,

Last year I installed Fuel Moto's 107 big bore kit in my 2010 streetbob with stock heads and had great results. I put on about 5000 miles without a single issue. After our trip I took the motor apart because I was having a lot of blow by so I thought I would double check everything. But after I put it back together, it only seemed to hit on rear cylinder when I started it, but within a minute it was hitting on both and rode great. So I put it away at winter and this year I couldn't get it started. It will turn over and the back cylinder will puff out smoke and sounds like it was trying to fire but nothing from the front. Every once in a while the motor will backfire and exhaust comes out air filter. I removed plugs, Back plug was VERY wet and front plug was almost dry. I put a new battery in and same results. I tried new plugs/wires and same thing. I do not have compression releases. I tore motor apart again to see if maybe I misaligned cams or gearing, everything was spot on.

Video link below of trying to start it. What you guys think. Does this sound like a bad starter?

Thanks.

I'm no expert but the starter is cranking the motor. Why would you think it's the starter.?? Smoke coming from exhaust has nothing to do with a starter?? That smoke might be unburnt fuel??

Sounds like your pushrod adjustment is off

I'm just out of ideas why it worked for so long and the next it didn't. I thought maybe the starter wasn't cranking hard enough to pop it off.

Do I need to adjust push rods each time and I remove cams? I have the adjustable pushrods and they are all set to the same. I set them exactly the way Fuel Moto said to adjust them.

Sorry for being such a noob, and I definitely appreciate the help guys.

if you readjust them it'll run fine, you could easily of put a front intake pushrod in the rear intake and now that valve isn't closing so your not getting compression and it's just blowing the fuel air mixture straight through the head into the pipe never igniting

Well, the push rods were labeled front and rear and I triple checked myself I put them in the same spot, but I will take your advice and readjust them all again and see what happens.

Below is the video link of how I adjusted pushrods and I used those same push rods

definitely not your starter.
I don't understand how you got the pushrods out without taking down the adjustments.
Unless you pulled off the top end and slid out the rods after, which can be dangerous.

All you do is pull the rocker arms and slide them out the top it's not a big deal, make sure your on the compression stroke not the overlap stroke when adjusting also

Remove spark plugs, crank several times to clear cylinders. Use a lighter to heat up and dry the plugs. Put them back in and try. Looks like flooding to me.
