[QUOTE=b1u;13964512]Hey FSKITCH, what bag is that in the picture? I think I need one of those!
If you go to ebay and search in the western-tack section for saddle bags you'll see a set for $40. You carefully slice the yolk off and you'll have two seperate bags. I only ran one at the time, secured to the strut with a couple of zip ties, so I had a spare... Solo-bag style. That picture was taken right after I purchased and you can see the bags are rough cut hyde. You put leather dressing on it a few times and it takes on a smooth finish after a little while. If your not into the black out look you can get brown or natural. Good alternitive to the $200+ solo bags available from harley and other venders.

Thanks for all the replies. Ive got about 11k on my stock Michelins. Not sure if its worth giving up the wear that the Pirellis seem to have. Of course maybe going to a 180 will shorten tread life anyway? I just love the look of the wider tire.
Michelin lists a 180 60 scorcher 31. It's the same tire as what comes on the street bob's now.
Wonder what the mileage is on these....?
If it's around what the other Mich's last it sounds like a good option to me.
I'm with you Tony, I want the wider tire too but don't know that it is worth it sacrificing mileage.

I ran the 180 and liked the look and the grip. after my third one needed to be replaced I just could not see over $300 for a tire that last 7000 miles at best.
The gt502 is wider than the night dragon, i get about miles/kms as people mention
The night dragon is a more rounded tire and easy to ride bike in twisty hilly roads, probably 170mm installed
Right. To the best of my knowledge, the GT502 is the widest 180. It measures about 178 installed, and is designed to go on that narrow rim. A dealer near me has an "any Dunlop, installed on the bike for $200" deal, so the price works out OK. I sure wouldn't want to pay full retail though!

Anybody have any reasons why the Michelin Scorcher in the new 180 size would last less than the regular Michelin's? I've got an 11 SB and I've been thinking when the rear tire wears out (over 11k on it now) I would slap an 180 on there. Been kind of hesitant with the mileage of the Night's & Dun's though.
I just installed a 190 Avon Cobra on my 13 Street Bob, and a 110 on the front. My bike has the quick detach hardware already which includes the brackets from a wide tire kit, so the kit wasn't needed. The tiires fit and look great! The handling is MUCH better, although the ride did seem to be a little harder.

Do you have the stock rear wheel? I'm guessing that is a tight fit!
