I may eventually get to saddle bags, but I won't have them on all the time and I don't like the look of the support bars left on the bike when the bags are off. At least on the ones I've seen so far...
Lots of saddlebag options these days that mount to the fender struts without the support bars being necessary. Leather Pro's have a real nice quick detach mounting system.
I've been using one of them for a couple of years now. Fantastic piece of gear. I also have the top bag, but mainly just use the bottom. You could actually pack enough clothes/gear in there for a weekend trip. Well designed, and well made with top notch materials. You won't be sorry.
Gym bag is old school!
You got any pics of the Saddlemen on? That thing must be big and hold a ton!
This was taken in Idaho in 2013.
It's expandable and I carry way too much every trip- never use it all. I carry a full sized Dyna manual, tool bag, laptop, spare everything, shaving kit, overpants, ammo, weapon (in non ccw states), 3-cell Maglite, breakdown survival kit, and external pouches carry SPF, oil rag, and map.
I even use it for regular traveling in my truck it works so well.

Hell yeah it carries a ton! Like that you posted a pic from my state...extra points for that! Thanks for sharing the pic. Do you just strap it down to shocks and tail lights?
Now just gotta talk my wife into allowing me to spend more money. I just got 2 bags that I haven't even used yet.... and saddlebags that haven't been used yet. I could give her my Viking bag and use this one and strap my roll bag on top of this. Between that, saddlebags, and a roll bag I should be set! LOL

I'm moving to Boise sometime next year after my early retirement kicks in- got an older brother retired in Eagle.
The bag has straps with plastic clips that I loop on the turn signals, and use a bungees on each side in front from the shock tops to D rings on the bag- it's really balanced with the built in tunnel.

Sweet and thanks for the info! Good deal you moving here. I like the area. I live in Boise and am actually from the valley here. Winters are somewhat of a drag but love it here!
You'll probably have one of the best looking WGs around here when you come!
