I need a sm/med sized bag for day trip. I looked at the HD tailbag but wasn't too impressed with it. Any recommendations on a decent tailbag for a '15 Low Rider? Leather would be nice, but I haven't seen any.
Leather is not waterproof unless you treat it with something to make it repel water. Don't know exactly what you are looking for but check out these folks...
I'm not sure about leather tailbags but Tbags makes some nice stuff that seems to be the top pick for most. ALso, the Gears Navigator Tailbag is a good option too.
I know a lot of the gear these guys sell isn't typically your Harley rider style, but they have some kik-azz stuff......they may have a tail bag you like.
I know my penny jar is going to a set of Denali's....50% of rides are night time.
I may eventually get to saddle bags, but I won't have them on all the time and I don't like the look of the support bars left on the bike when the bags are off. At least on the ones I've seen so far...
T bags look good - the sportster bag (can I put that on a Dyna?) looks like what I was thinking about. I realize leather may be a tall order for that kind of bag...
I went the solo bag route. Not sure if it's an option you would be interested in. I have the "big bad dyna bag" from garageleathers.com It's held on with 3 straps- nothing left behind when removed. It's made of leather and holds a decent amount.
I use this low-profile bag designed for a sport bike; was inexpensive and works great. Each of the sides goes down over the fender a bit and will hold a bottle of whatever.
Did leave some marks on the fender after a couple years of use...
