Default Burley kit installed

Installed the burley rear 10.5" shocks and the front lowering kit. Did a test run down the road. Front feels like ****, mushy and might be bottoming out. Not real happy with the front, rears are fine i actually prefer a stiffer ride. Is there a remedy for the front?

I would think the rear would suck. What about just lowering at the forks with stiffer springs? Sorry, im just brainstorming

What weight oil do you have in the front? Did you check the level also when you changed the springs?

I powdered my lowers so they got new heavy fork oil. My buddy put them back together and he said that it seemed a little to easy putting them back in

Spacers installed? If it was easy putting them back together it sounds like something is missing but I'm not sure. I've only done stock length springs so I'm no expert. If it's that bad I think something is not right, there is a ton of these kits on the road so they can't be bad.

Double check the part numbers on the kit you received vs the Burly website. It's possible you got a Sportster kit and they are sprung differently.

I pretty much have the same kit. I ended up putting less fork oil in mine when I changed the oil a couple of months ago and it made the ride better. It didn't ride terrible like you are describing, but it was a bit lacking. I would do what Ape_Hanger mentioned and check your parts. Did you have the "do it yourself" spacers? You know, the cut to desired length pieces of PVC that go under the fork caps? If so, how long did you make them?

It certainly looks good though!
