Smile HD Dyna WideGlide T Bar Questions

Hey guys, I am fairly new to Harley and this forum especially.. So bare with me.

I am wanting to get a pair of T Bars for my 2010 DWG, but I am wanting to get some of yall's opinions first. I am about 6'1" and I'm thinking that I want to go with the 12" bars. However, I do not want to have the lengthen the brake, clutch, and throttle cables if I don't have to, because that could cost just as much as the bars and I'm trying to save as much money as I possibly can. So if anyone who has put these on their bikes could help me out, and suggest some brands of bars that would be awesome. Thanks guys.

Not quite the same bike, but I put Wild1 Chubby 501 bars on my '15 LR. 8" rise with 5" pullback I believe. The cables fit no problem, but no way would 12" bars fit. I had maybe another inch or two of slack on the clutch and the throttles were pretty much at the limit. FWIW.

Sit on your bike, put your arms out in a riding position and measure down to the triple trees from there.
I am 5'11" and my 14" bars are perfect for short or long distance rides.
There's more to it than just height- biomechanics are different on everyone, so your arm length might be a factor as well as torso height and shoulder width.
I've read on other posts that 12" is just enough without extensions, but you may suffer for the sake of saving money-do it right or don't do it at all.
