I have this installed on my Fatbob. I guess I'm lucky that I have an aftermarket Headwinds Viper headlight which has a much deeper bucket than the stock ones most of you guys are struggling with. Mine fit in easily and the light is nice and bright. Haven't done any night riding since the install but it is definitely brighter than the Silverstar bulb I was using before.
The harness had to go kind of to the side. Since it's kind of a "L" shape you need to turn it so it is taking up space between the fan and the bucket. Wires get snaked around the fan. I got mine lined up an put in upside down, then rotated the assembly until it was right side up. Then don't let it move while you put the ring on.
It till me almost 30 minutes to get it to go but then it finally lined up. I keep thinking I should order one for my wife's bike but I am afraid I won't get it to line up again.

Thanks. I messed around with it for a bit today and actually got it all installed.
