I have an '07 Street bob and the stock solo seat just isn't cutting it. I can ride all day but my inner thighs and lower back get tight from feeling like I am on top of the bike and not planted. I want to keep the solo seat, so with that in mind does anyone have any suggestions for a high-back solo seat that keeps you planted on the bike.

BTW I am 6'2 and about 215lbs.
I have a mustang wide tripper with backrest. I use the backrest on long rides round town really don't need it. I'm 6'2" 225 with the backrest I'm planted on the bike.
Hi jricharc,
Some pictures of Solo Mustang Wide Vintage with backrest on my FXDL here... https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...rider-148.html
"Best" is always subjective but this seat has very positive reviews - if you use the "search" in the forums you will see. Much better seat than stock in my opinion - did 400 miles on it on Sunday no problem, with stock 100 miles and I'd be wishing I was back home. Hope this helps.
Regards, Phil
I have had the Mustang wide with backrest. It is probably the most comfy seat cause its big and wide. Didnt really like the looks of it. Running the C&C fastback. It has a high backside and also comes with a backrest. I rarely use it unless on 4+ hour ride.
I just installed the Mustang 16 1/2 in. Wide Vintage Solo Seat w/Removable Backrest - 79348. Very comfortable ride and the back rest fits perfectly in my back. Bought it from Dennis Kirk. https://www.denniskirk.com/mustang/1...prd/455909.sku
By far, the Mustang Solo with backrest is awesome! I was debating on this and several others, although it is extremely comfortable. The backrest was made even better by getting the off-set mount. This allows you to push forward or lean back much more than the standard mount (~$25, not bad).
I'd highly recommend it. Gets more comfy each ride!
