I have been wondering the same thing about the side to side movement. I understand part of it, but as stated, it's still rubber, so in theory, it should still move.

On another note, how do you fine tune alignment with this mount? Does't the Predator mount require alignment adjustments? The VT Predator sits on rubber, so how does that keep the side to side movement under control?

Overall, the BBC mount looks like it would be the quickest to install.

The OEM mounts use rubber to restrict, but not eliminate side motion.
Adding a little preload puts some tension on the donuts and requires more forces to compress them more.. The stock rear dyna mount does the same thing.. It has the sheetmetal embedded in the middle of the rubber on both sides. There are ways to limit shifting of the donuts but is it really necessary for the rear mount? I don't really know.. Like I mentioned. I have the Sputhe mount and the rear link makes very little difference. It might in a really choppy corner where side swingarm load is high but then I don't shorttrack one the streets.

I know this is an old post, but I had this mount on for about a year. I replaced it with a new stock rear mount because I had some harsh vibrations. When I took it off, there was so much wear on the top part of the rubber that the center of the mount was making contact with the part of the trans case that the top bolts to. When I replaced it with the stock part, I also bought and installed the true track and now the bike feels like it should. I now have an expensive piece of billet paperweight from the BBC rear mount.

I looked into making one of BBC mounts but gave up when I'd fixed the issue I was having. The fit on that mount is real tight and to get it mounted without contact with the frame was going to be a real PITA.. Do you have an pics of what the issue was? I'd sort of expect that the wasn't enough clearance some place..

Just my thoughts, I would have a hard time buying anything from BBC based on the problems they have had in the past with there frames. There was a lot of people that were left out in the cold with there frame issues.
Do a google search on this if you want to know about it.

I do like the look of there FXR knock off bike that they are making, but I would never buy one based on there past.

Truetrack, Sputhe and Predator are all tried and tested systems to help stabilise our wobbles lol, so I am sticking with my stock mounts and true track, it just feels right.

There have been several members over the years that have gone full circle and ended up going with True Track. Trending topics are fun but many of them are repeats. Keep reading,it's the smartest/cheapest thing to do! True Track for the win! lol

Yeah I would sell it. I just finished moving into a new place so I will have to find it. Any extra money I get is good. I just ordered a new clutch, spring, and tensioner. After that I am thinking about swapping my wide glide trees for some mid glide trees. The project is endless.
