My Street Bob '15
I finally got my new SB home, safe and sound! Took a bit of waiting because I ordered the bike with quite a few modifications ready made by the dealer. I ordered the bike in November last year and now I finally have it in my garage. Wohoo!
This is my first Harley and for me it's a dream come true! I've wanted a Harley since I was 4 years old, got my licence to ride a motorcycle at 16 and been riding ever since. Never having enough money to buy a Harley, I rode old metric customs for many years. I've owned two Hondas, one Virago, two Yamaha V-Stars and now, finally after working my a** off for ten years I was finally able to buy my first Harley, built for me exactly the way I wanted it.
I had my eyes on a Fat Bob first, but after a couple of test rides on different models I knew exactly what I wanted. A Street Bob with a set of apes!
I spent last winter gathering up the parts I wanted on the bike. It now has the following set up:
-Stage one (V&H Big Radius pipes, SE Chisel aircleaner and a FuelPak)
-Burleigh HighBall 14" black apes all the way from down under. (Love the bars btw!), together with longer cables
-An RSD Boss two-up seat for solo riding and bar hopping with my wife
-For longer trips the Harley OEM seat with pillion pad
-Progressive 11" rear shocks to drop the rear end a bit
-A Raybowtieman sissy bar
-Harley black diamond grips
-A 2 inch tank lift kit
-HD Skull derby cover
-And a set of fantastic quick detach -saddlebags from LeatherPros.
I am super happy with the outcome! The bike can be changed from a solo -bobber into a pretty comfortable touring bike in a matter of seconds. And I really like the both set ups.
I think I still need to make a few mods like changing the mirrors and the levers to match the black bars, but I am in no hurry with those mods. Now it's time to ride!
Some bad cellphone-pics of the bike:
But good on ya and I really like your bob. The bars and sissy bar really compliment eachother.
can you comment on the suspension modifications and if the bike rides better than stock?
congrats & enjoy your new bike!
The bags are the CB 2900 -model. The fit is perfect and the quality of the bags is excellent! Highly recommended!

I wouldn't say the progressive shocks ride better, to me they feel equal to the stock shocks. A bit rougher maybe on bumpy roads, but better in fast corners.
I went with the progressives mainly for the looks.
