Speedo Frozen at 40mph- 2002 FXDP
Alright here's a new one. Last night a buddy and me were cruising around, we gunned it WFO from a stop light getting onto a freeway 0-100mph or so. I was never looking at my gauges until we hit top speed, but I looked down and it was set at 40mph. I backed off and it didn't drop or move at all. The tach was still full functional.
The rest of the way home the needle would only drop below 40 if I was actually going below 40 BUT it's reading way off, almost exponentially as speed increases. For example, at 5k RPMS in first it was showing about 5 mph, at 3k RPMS in 3rd it was showing 15mph etc. so basically the reading is a fraction of what my speed is, and never more than 40mph.
Bike is a 2002 FXDP.
