Need some help. I have a 2014 Dyna Low Rider that is stock. Over the last few rides I have noticed that intermittently the bike would cut out - I believe when I let off the throttle. Yesterday I was leaving a stop light in first gear and it cut out. The compression jolted me forward. Within a minute later it died on me when I engaged the clutch. I hit the start button and it fired right back up. I drove to the dealer ship after work and it ran fine. There was an error code of ECM P 1632. The dealership couldn't find any reference to that code. One of the tech's rode the bike and it was fine. After stopping for dinner and heading home it cut out a few more times on the freeway. Heading to work this morning I had the same issues. I pulled off the freeway and it wouldn't stay running unless I kept the RPMs at 2500 or higher. Finally I pulled over and let it sit for 5 minutes. Started it up and rode it back to the house and it ran fine. I did notice a message of V INERR when I started it up. Engine light, nor the red light are coming on. It may only be happening when the bike is cold. It was on the battery tender last night. Any ideas?
I don't have have Lowrider, but I believe there is a recall on the ignition switch. IIRC, there are reports of bikes just shutting off because of faulty switches.
mine is a 2015 street bob and is not part of the recall
when i am riding and on the throttle the bike will cut out and then come back on as if the kill switch is being flicked on/off and if not on throttle it will cut out but i can start it straight back up again
Are you still having this issue? I ran my bike about 40 miles, drove into my garage and parked it. I wanted to move it just a bit more forward and everything cut out (The key was still on). I tried starting it and got clicking noise followed by it cutting out again. I wanted to check my codes but it seemed like a dead battery. I pull the battery cover off and noticed I had a lose terminal screw. Tightened it down and it started just fine.
I checked my codes once it started again and I got "P1632".
Anyone think I got this code for a battery not connected properly?
I see your post in Harley forum, Dyna cutting out....do you find the solution to your problem ? I have the same problem, dealer replace the speed sensor but it's the same....don't know what to try
I have a 2015 Dyna Wide Glide, Having the same problem. code P1632, the bike cuts out, the speedometer needle goes to zero that pops back up. anyone find out what the problem is? I'm scared to take the bike out, i don't want to be stranded on the side of the road.
