I got my "beanie" from Carbon Fiber Helmets in Florida about 2 yrs ago.. Recently, it was in need of the liner to be replaced and they immediately sent me out replacement material and wouldn't accept payment!! They now have DOT approved helmets in same style.
They're well made and comfortable.

I got one of the German DOT helmets but found it was WAY to big... that is, oversized. The German only looks cool as a novelty helmet but I personally will not ride with something that offers no protection.
