Got a bar with about 11" pullback for my FXDX but I think the approx 12" the Heritage bar gives would be perfect. Has anyone attempted this and if so how did it feel / look?
Well, I guess no one has. I need more pullback to be comfortable on the bike. Problem is it's a FXDX and has the speedo & tachare mounted on the bar clamp. Any ideas?
Yea, I bought some 13" Mini apes off of eBay, with all new everything, braided cables, switches, levers, everything! Hill Country Cycles, I believe is the name. Go check them out! The heritage bars I believe are the same as Wideglide bars and Street Bob bars...they are a 10 inch rise mini Ape bar. Because H/D's are mass produced, it's easy for the factory to use the same parts in different models, and claim it's a "whole new thing".
The Heritage bars will have a W-I-D-E center section. In my opinion, bars with a wide center width look dorky and out of place on a narrow glide front end. Just something to consider.
