How hard was the install? Haven't found any comprehensive "How To's" on it yet. And do those pegs scrape easily now, especially being lowered?
Congrats on the "new" Fat Bob, I sure like mine. There are Threads on about every mod you can think of, just have to use the "Search" feature and hunt a bit. Here is my Thread on forwards to mids:
I'm very big on sport bikes. Love my 12 Wide Glide no question about it but I also love having the burner to zip around town and that endless pull of the zx14r....well...there's nothing like it.
Also have a zx6r that's street illegal but it's strictly a track bike.
Congrats and welcome to......let's just call it....the other side.
You're gonna love that bike. Vibration and all....It's a fun scoot.
Good to see some other sport bike riders in here.
Check out my other ride. Need to buy these pics, but this was taken from a track day at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, TX.

Excellent post. Definitely more involved in changing them than I would have thought. I'll keep my eye out on the classifieds, once I get some funds available. I'm pretty sure I could recoup a lot of the costs by selling off what I have on there now.

My son is an instructor for Ride Smart, might hade been at Circuit of Americas with you - does Clint ring a bell?
Speaking from experience, as the second owner of a super low miles (1k) 2008 Fat Bob, if those are the original Dunlop tires on the bike.....change them now. Mine seemed ok at first, but after some very hairy situations in both the wet and dry, I realized they were going to get me killed. Just put on a set of Pirelli Night Dragons in the stock sizes and it's like a whole new bike.
The dealer tech who installed them was amazed at how well the Pirellis rode and handled. He said no one around this area puts those on, usually just the stocker Dunlop model, or Michelins.

It does ring a bell. Would probably recognize him. I'm still pretty slow on the track, just in intermediate group. Now that I bought this bike I've probably exhausted my track day funds for a while.
Just noticed you're in North Texas. Let me know if you'll work for beer on a mid controls install, lol.

They are the stock tires, and they seem to follow every rut or imperfection in the road. I definitely want a set of radials and just started looking. Any preference on stock size or a 200 size (Avon) rear? For cornering I would think a 180 would be best, but I'd leave it up to those with more experience.
Anyone know where I would find a Power Commander installed? The seller said an independent shop did all the work, and having met him I believe this. But I don't see any add on electronic modules under the seat. Definitely looks like someone has been in there before.
I just want to make sure the bike is tuned right, and not running lean or something.

They are not radials, but the Michelin Commander 2 are a HUGE improvement over the OE tires.
