I don't know much about dynas I'm a sportster guy. a buddy of mine has a 05 dyna that was his dads before he passed it is getting close to 80000 on the factory 88" I was curious if it was possible to just bolt a newer Harley 103 or 110 on to the from with minor modification
I think the way the motor mounts to the trans is different on the '06 and newer bikes. On your 88" you can get a big bore kit and go to 95", or maybe bigger.
