Well...I didn't pull the trigger. I just can't give up my beloved Speed Triple...UGH. If my wife rode, I could make an argument for 2 bikes but she lets me have my other hobbies. Maybe I'll re-join the community one day.
I can't believe you got our hopes up like that!
Just kidding, ride whatever makes you happy. Obviously the best way to do that is to have several bikes, so you know what you have to do...
Hey b1u.... What bars are those in your signature picture?
Hey Maxxsmart, they are the HD Chizeled Satin Black Handlebar p/n 55800103. Normaly, I wouldn't spend $300 on a set of bars. But my wife new I was eyeing them for a while and bought them for me as a bday gift ealrier this year. Defintiely a keeper....my wife and the bars! Enjoy

Great... Thanks! I've been going back and forth between these and some todds 12" strip bars. How's the handling of these against the stock mini apes? If I understand correctly, these have about the same rise and pull back, but shave off about 7" total on the with.

Thanks again!
You pretty much nailed it. They are definitely more narrow. It took a few rides to get used to it. The most notable difference for me is low speed cornering. It's a more aggresive postion then the stop mini apes. I've had them on for 2 months now and I wish I had done this much sooner! Hope this helps. Good luck.

Haha...sorry about that. Normally I'm not this wishy washy on bike purchases and the longest I ever kept a bike was when I owned a 2005 Low Rider.
Well I was finally able to pull the trigger today and she's in the garage. I had to deliberate a little bit about it since it was such a change but in the end I'm extremely happy with "Pearl" and look forward to getting the mods going. It'll be slow going at first but hope to have pipes and such by year end (we'll see how well I do with that).
