Default MY new FXDXT

Since selling my 99 fxdx, I knew I was looking for an upgraded suspension. I had LP original replica bags since preorder, they were amazing.

I bought an 03 anniversary FXDXT sight unseen from a stealer. I prefer the club style and lane splitting here in Cali. I need YOUR opinions and help. There is a lot more chrome on here than I am used to, I am hoping to use it to my advantage?

I'm thinking of centering the chrome and blacking out the tank and adding my old parts from the 99 FXDX. ie: 1/4 harley fairing, fork brace, burly pegs, new Micheline commander ii tires, fxdxt tool bag.

A shout out to BobberG for the 8" risers, faceplate, and 2015 sportster bars. The bars seem to have more angle than I'm used to, I'm going to trim them about 3" and see how narrow I can get.

I need a (used) Thunderheader, simply for the sound. Also ordering steel braided lines and a LED kit for the headlight. A lay down license plate and maybe brighten up the taillight since I plan on tinting it. Grips.

I miss the torque from my old sport bikes and am thinking about increasing the rear pulley up a few, more research needed.

Engine mods would be nice, maybe cams first. I simply want more for lane splitting.

Appliance epoxy will be done on the forks, calipers, battery cover (?). Removal of the blinkers and mirrors will be first. Anyone need parts?

Looks good. Sounds like you need at least a 95" BB and flowed heads with cams
You gonna keep the rare '03 tank medallions?

My old man got a BB for his sporty and got some great results, financial restrictions.

I am going to buy another and paint the tank and the 1/4 fairing. I'll might sell the whole tank w/emblem. I hate the look

Those anniversary edition tins are a dime a dozen, very, very few people give a **** about it. Don't waste more money finding another set just repaint those. Nice score, I'm thinking about getting rid of my FXR for a DX or DXT because I need something to commute on. Hopefully I can come up on a nice piece like yours. Cant wait to see how it turns out.

My bike was at least as chrome covered as the OP's when I first got it. Don't let it get you down, it can be corrected!

The stuff is awesome, like powder coat in a can. I used it to do my forks, over spray is horrible though.

Why can't you commute on the fxr? Just curious, Don't hear of many people ditching their FXRs for a dyna.
