Very nice man. My fxrt has a 111". Good power in a great frame. What trans you gonna use?
Great looking bike. Really nice and clean. As for the trans, I am keeping the stock 5 speed for now, just retoothed. Should hit 2000 RPM at 75, which is the sweet spot for me.
I can always put the baker 6 in if I feel like it's revving too high, but will stick with the 5 speed for now. I took the belt off and am going with the chain as well.
Here is more progress. List of things done are:
120R top end
S & S evo mount bottom end
PM brakes and wheels
racetech suspension
Chain drive
Rivera clutch
Woods carb
D&D fatcat
New spherical bearing upgrade for the swing arm
Fairing from Deviant Fabrication

Man I can't wait to see this thing. Purely badass. That much power-the chain is the way to go. Great clutch choice too. I'm running the same one with the baker 6 speed. I didn't know deviant was making the later model fairings. Looks like quality work.
I rode my 83 FXR to the dealership yesterday, the patrons were puzzled. Mystery bike.
Don't feel bad Artlee. The other day I was out riding, and I had to stop at Harbor Freight for a few small items. This young kid about 19 yrs old walks up to me and my FXR, and asks if it's a Yamaha. Before I could say no, he went on to tell me that I should have bought a Harley, because they are more cool than Japanese bikes.
I had to use all my powers not to bust out laughing at the kid, but I kept a straight face, and told him, "thanks, I'll take it under consideration."
Kind of hard for me to understand how someone could mistake this for anything other than a Harley:
