Default Frame mount clamp on highway pegs

Anyone know of or have a set of these? All of the highway pegs I'm seeing mount onto an engine guard. I want ones that clamp right to the downtube of the frame. I've seen the RIVCO brand and I'm not too fond of them. Then of course I've seen the kind that mount onto the forward control mounting holes. Not interested in those either.

Just curious, why not the highway pegs that mount in the forward control mounts? That's what I have and love them, they don't stick out far enough to ever cause a problem and are quite comfortable. You can even get one that acts as a crash bar as well. I think a peg that clamps on the frame would keep your legs too close to engine keeping your legs quite warm and for your legs to reach they'd probably be too high on the frame to be comfortable.

Or are you looking at a mustache bar?

Default Got mine from kuryakan

I had a set from kuryakan on my last bike which was a street glide. I didn't like the crash bars so I took those off, bought the down tube clamps and ISO pegs with extensions . They worked very well and gave the bike a much cleaner, slimmer look. I highly recommend them. They offer 3 different diameters so measure twice so you only have to buy once.

Interesting discussion. I was also looking for some highway pegs. I started with the set that mounts in the forward control holes. Besides being a little lower than I was looking for comfort, I had to kind of bow my legs around the engine even with longer pegs to rest my feet on them. Functional, but not really that comfortable. Then I bought a set of the Kuryakyn Cruise Pegs for Front Down Tubes from JP Cycles. Very nice pegs easy to mount, they are too high. Because of the oil cooler stuff I can only go down so far on the downtube. So, I ordered the Fatty Freeway Bars 1 1/2 " (same as the downtube) to mount on the bike and attach the Kury Cruise Pegs to. Hopefully, I can get them to just the right spot for comfort. You know it when you get them positioned to the right spot for riding.

I have the kind that mount where the forward controls would go. They are comfortable but I think the frame mount would look better. I called kuryakyn and they don't even make a clamp that will fit my bike. I have a 12 FXDC and the downtube is 2". Biggest clamp they have is 1.5". Think I might just bite the bullet and install forward controls but keep the mid pegs as well.
