I just put a multimeter on the battery while trying to start...reading 4-5 volts during starting. I guess it's the battery. Battery is less than a year old from what the previous owner said. How can I tell how old it is? I see what looks like dates on the label but can't figure it out.

I have a small gauge wire going nowhere that is connected to a part that I can't identify. Can some tell me what it is please? It has a part number as you can see but I wasn't able to match it up.
Thanks,
Jason

Does your bike have an alarm with the siren?

No alarm that I know of. Last bike did but it had key fob. This bike does not. May be a disconnected alarm. I bought the bike used last August and no mention of alarm....makes sense though. Still can't jump the bike with my car.. Bike wants to turn over and backfired once but no go.

Default Dead battery

Took the battery to my shop and my guy said it wasn't dead but after we talked I bought a new battery and the bike fired up.
Thanks All,
Jason

Now that you have a known good battery, you still should probably check your charging system just to be sure it is all working now.
