2012 fxdc voltage draw test
im wondering if anyone can help me with a draw test and specs on what i should be getting? i am having trouble keeping the battery charged for more than a week of sitting a pdf of what to do and what each component should draw (tssm, reg, ignition etc would be great!!!

If you use a battery tender it will typically top off the battery to 14.3 volts. Unplug the B/T and within a few hours the battery will settle back to 12.6 to 12.8 give or take,much less than 12.5 - - and it may have a bad cell or be smoked. Using a DVM across the battery terminals you should see no less than 10V and preferably more while cranking it. You should have no problems obviously with a good battery and it sitting for many weeks or several months and still start right up.

bikersally. I agree with dynaratt. You need to find out if something is drawing the battery down or if it's the battery itself with a bad cell in it. If you have a battery tender, disconnect both battery cables, connect the charger and let it charge for 24 hours. Once it's fully charged remove the battery tender and let it sit with nothing connected to it. This will easily tell you if it's the battery that's bad. Or you could simply take the battery out and bring it to an auto parts house close by and have them load test the battery for you.
