I've been looking online and it would seem that I don't hardly see any for sale and when I do the prices are way up there! I but mine 3 years ago for $6400.00 and 20k on the clock! Thoughts?
They're just kinda the "it" bike right now along with fxr's. And the fact that they were only made for 3 years means there's less out there. That would be my guess anyway. I could be way off.
All the cool kids are scooping them and FXR's up. As well as any part or accessory that came from or goes with RT's, RP's, Defenders, DX or T-Sport's. The market is inflated because those dudes have deep pockets and want to charge max for everything. Just like the bobber, chopper phases this too shall pass but for now prepare to spend long money to get just about anything nice. I've been trying to trade my FXR for a T-Sport or even a DX with bags, but there ain't been much out there.
You can find a deal if you are willing to search and search across the country. Out here they go for well over $10k now. Sold mine for $12k a few years back.
Ive been keeping up with it and the t-sport prices are steady increasing. a few months ago i picked up a VERY clean 01 fxdx with a little less than 13k miles on it for $5k. Had to drive over 1200 miles roundtrip to get it, but i couldnt pass it up for that price. What is hard for me to stomach is people paying over $1000-1500 for a legit t-sport fairing and about $1k for the bags

Gave $7,600 for mine with 13K in 2013. The thing is a harley dealer will only give you NADA or KBB for a bike so if someone trades one it thats the time to scoop because they don't mark them up much. But to but private from someone who knows what they have... I wouldn't let mine go for any less than 10K perhaps 13-14K to the right guy
