I'm thinking about putting drag bars on my street bob. I'd imagine I'd need to change the brake line to something smaller, what would you guys recommend? And as far as throttle and clutch cables, are the stocks too long (any issues binding or anything?). Thanks
My WideGlide had mini-apes. I installed Wild-1 10111 drag bars with 10" ride and 12" pull-back. All I needed to change was the brake cable. The throttle and clutch cables are perfect.
I put drag bars on my SB and retained all the stock cables. I had to re-route the clutch and throttle cables, and the brake line has an "S" bend in the flexible section, but it all fit. Some folks here don't like the way the stock cables look with the drag bars, but I think it looks fine. And I didn't want to spend a bunch of money on new cables.
These are the best pics I have showing the cables. They're a little dark, but you can see how I routed the cables and the bend in the brake line.
I asked the same question a few weeks back , I believe its throttle cables from a night train , brake from night train and a clutch cable 4 inches shorter than stock
