2000 dyna wg electrical problems
Oh boy now I've done it !!
Speedo & blinker cancelling died on a trip at the weekend ( still had odometer and speedo light ) so I suspected the vss sensor, pulled it cleaned it & no change so tested the wiring from speedo to the sensor connector under seat ( red white black wires ) and all seemed fine, plugged everything back in and now I've lost the blinkers , horn and speedo light & odometer all together... bike still starts and runs OK.
Checked the accessories fuse ( and others ) all good but while in behind the left side panel found a damaged green wire which may have been shorting to frame ? taped it up but still the same situation...
Thinking I'm gonna have to pull the entire wiring loom from the bike and check it out... now that's a big scary job !! the routing of the loom looks like it was done by a blind monkey and it all looks a mess is this normal or has someone been in here already ?
Would really appreciate any advise where to look next before I commit to this big job which will probably put the bike out of commission right in the middle of biking season

Thinking maybe I disturbed the ignition switch connector and that killed my auxiliary circuit ? I did take it off to clean it and put it back on & it did feel looser than I would have expected...
I'm at work till late tonight so wont get a chance to check till tomorrow evening.....
