Have a 2000 eg tc just wanted to see if the speed senser is on a fuse as the wire from my senser was rubbing agaist metal and worn through the wire and the white wire touched the metal,i repaired the white wire, put it back on and now the speedo still will not work.Could the wire rubbing have shorted the senser? Thanks
Mario,
Is the speedo the only device not working? The fuse for "Accessory" feeds a few lines, but is interconnected on the speedo harness. If everything else works, i.e. rear lighting, rear brake lamp, then I wouls suspect the speed sensor. The service manual (2002 EG)says the white wire is the output side of the sensor with of course 12vdc the input side.
