Been contemplating getting a 2015 Dyna Low as a step-up from my 2012 1200C Sporty. Going to hang on to my Sporty since it's my first bike etc.
Haven't drove a Dyna yet but from just comparing the specs on both rides, Sporty vs Dyna, weight wise not a big difference. Ride & performance wise I'm looking what to expect.
Harley has 1% going till end of August so if I bite it will be during that time frame.
If you live in South/Mid Florida, shoot me a pm if you are going to buy one. Oh, and I love mine! That thing handles like a dream with the big v-twin. My prediction is that you will not look back!
I went from 1200C to a Wide Glide and have not looked back. The center of gravity is lower and rides just as stable at the sportster. Upgrading to 103 makes a huge difference especially at speed as there is less vibration. Try one out and I bet you will get it! enjoy

I live in SW Fl area but spend the summers in Maine. Guess you'd call that a 'Snow Bird'. Need a bike for the times I'm in Maine so that's why I was thinking about a Dyna Low. That said and from the jest of your feedback I think I'll buy the Dyna in Fl. and ship the Sporty to Maine.
Need to figure out how to do this to take advantage of HD 1% promotion which ends in August.
Yep retired vet with 23 years hang'n around Uncle.
Nice touch that HD does a special for vets. Thank U for the heads up on that.
I was in your place about a year ago ... Riding a 2013 1200C. All I did was take the low rider out for test ride ... Promptly rode it home and haven't felt the need to look for anything else since. Just a better ride in most every way.
That said ... Can't really go wrong with either!
Yep know what ya mean about "just taken it out for a test ride".
Hope it's not slower than my 1200C Sportster which is now Stage 1.
I just bought a 2015 Low Rider, and kept my 07 1200C. They are a lit different rides, the Sportster is much more nimble, a ball to ride. The Low Rider is much better with the boss on back, softer ride, lower rpms, nice low end power. and six gears are nice.
Smart move keeping the Sporty, you won't regret it. They are a lot more different than the numbers show and both are GREAT!! And both NEED a stage 1 and cams to bring out their best!!

Stage 1 on the Sporty was a must after the warranty ran out. Run'n way too hot from the factory.
Will probably follow suite with the Dyna after warranty runs out.
You will not be disappointed in the LR. Best bike in the HD lineup in my opinion. Lots of excellent LR info in the 2014 Low Rider thread. You can get a lot of good ideas in terms of customizing your bike.
