I'm looking for a hardened (aluminum or like) cylinder to use as a storage container. Think of a triple clamp-mounted leather pouch, but constructed from metal, with chrome or polished ends that (one or both) screw off or otherwise open. Something about 10" in length 4" to 5" in diameter would be cool. I'd like to mount it paralell to the ground to the lower vertical tubes of my drag bars atop the upper triple clamp using chrome accessory clamps.
In my mind, it looks great; very modern look. I can fab the mounts to the cylinder, I just can't find anything like it.
Am I reinventing the wheel or is something like this already out there?
HD makes a cylinder that mounts to the frame - not the diameter you're looking for - probably only 2" or so.
Saw a larger diameter somewhere that mounts somewhere on the back - pricey - i'll try to dig up the pic/site.
