My '99 Dyna had passenger pegs / brackets mounted to the frame.
Just realizedwhen Iwent toorder the passenger peg kits formy new '97 SB;
that they mount directly to the swingarm, like sportsters of the past or enduros of my youth. I can't believe this! I love to ride with my sons on the back and I remember how tiring that was on your feet/legs to keep them on the passenger pegs when I was riding as a passenger years ago. Pretty big dissapointment that on a $15,000 bike....this is what is available from H-D [:@]That is one change in the '06 model year that went backwards...and the fact that the H-D still doesn't give you a place to bungie anything, anywhere unless you buy all kinds of "detachables". Oh well, I know this isn't supposed to be a bitch about your bike site. Have any of you tried to keep your feet on passenger pegs mounted to a swingarm before, or have your wives/girlfriends commented on what that is like?
I don't know dude...my wife has done quite some time on my 06...as long as I put the "comfy seat and back rest" on it, she hasn't complained one bit. Matter of fact, she said it's way more comfortable than my last two bikes....a 2000 shadow 750 and a 2001 v-star 1100.
I can't comment myself...as you'd never catch me on that seat...and as long as that's the case, who really cares
My wife hasnt complained about the pegs. I have the detachable backrest with a rack mounted to it so I just put a SAS bag on it. Or I can bungee to the rails.
