Default Passenger pegs pre/post'05

I put passenger begs on my '06 street bob a while back and the little lady complains of excessive vibration. I put my feet on them while riding and found she was right, they will put your feet to sleep in seconds. Looking at '05 and older Dynas, the pegs are mounted to the frame, just like the front pegs. I'm betting those pegs are much more comfortable for the passenger than this new mounting location on the swingarm.

I noticed the same thing with my passenger. I'm wondering if a little rubber bushing under where it mounts to the swingarm or something would help??

Not sure, the vibration is really intense. I think they must not have thought it out when they decided to change from teh old location.

In your pic, it looks like you have metal passenger pegs. If that' right, probably nothing short of rubber pegs will dampen the vibration from the swingarm location. But as posted earlier a insulator,(piece of inner tube,or the like) placed between the mount and swingarm may just give your passenger some relief.

You bet. But with the change in the frame there is no easy way to mount the old style mountshort of welding. IMHO this is a major design flaw in the new Dynas. One of the reasons I have yet to get rid of my old Intruder.

I'm going to try like an 1/8" thick rubber washer under the mount and see what that does. My pegs all match right now and I'd hate to put the rubber ones back on.

I have Kuryakin(sp) Iso-pegs on the passenger peg mounts. They are rubber isolated in that the feet sit on rubber that is not solidly attached to the peg itself, but thanks for offering your opinion on this matter.

I think Airborne350G has it right:this is a major design flaw that H-D is going to have to address in the near future.

Good luck with the rubber wedge beneath the mount, let us know how that works for you.
