Default Love-Jugs

Installed a set of Love-Jugs on my 06 Lowrider and couldn't be happier. I live in NYC and commute to work on the bike all week and then ride to my vacation home 130 miles away each weekend. Always sitting in bumper to bumper traffic especially on the NJ Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway. When it's in the 90's, my bike gets hot enough to shut down the rear cylinder. After reading a favorable product review in the June issue of American Iron, I decided to give Love- Jugs a try. They were quick and easy to install and they don't hit my left leg. Unfortunately I got to test them out today when there was a 4 car pile up on the GSPW and we sat for miles doing the feet up, feet down dance. Bike ran smooth the whole time and my thighs were better. I do have a cool-wing which does help my nether region. I had a minor issue with the rear fan a week after install, but Dave from engineering over nighted the replacement part and all is fine. Rare to find that kind of dedication in a company these days. These fans definitely do the job and look good doing it. In the past week I've had quite a few riders asking me about them.

Im glad you like them and they function well.

Does the air being blown through heat up your right leg?

Not at all. Your right leg still feels the heat from the pipes but I don't think it's as bad. I have been blistered right through my pants in the past.

I have installed them on my wife's deluxe and my ultra classic. I used the vibration master mount on the deluxe and both frame mount and vibration master on the ultra.. Great products!! IMO

Interesting so are those alternative ways to mount the fans? I have the wards fans and so far so good, although the other day in 95 degree heat with some traffic the engine still got to almost 300. Although better than before I have to think that at some point blowing hot air over a hot engine is simply going to do no more than maintain vs actual cooling.

lowrider6 -

What did you hook the fans up to, power-wise?

Do you have to cut into any existing wiring?

Do they clear the plugs (coming out of the coil) ok?

Robby,

The vibration master as I was told is the best mount for the softails and love-jugs staff said the frame mount was the best mount for my 09 ultra but I added the vibration master. I am very happy with them. The wife has over 30,000'miles on hers! Great for in town and traffic
