Basic Throttle Question
I'm sure this is a common occurrence: I have a S & S Super E carb on my 02 Dyna and the throttle responds well on a roll but if you just give it a quick whack/twist it burps and almost dies. Also I have to leave about an 1/8 of twist play in the cables before the throttle actually hits or it will do it whether I roll it on or whack it.

It's just your accelerator pump screw adjustment needs to be set. Small screw farthest forward towards the front head pushrod tubes, on the right side throttle shaft as you look at the carb mounted on the bike. Adjust that by blip the throttle until it's a clean blip not a bog or gasp for air.

All Super carbs gasp or stall like that when the accelerator pump squirt is too large or too little.
