Bike wouldnt start?

I have a 07 street bob and i was at my buddies house and tried to start it and the battery was dead. We charged it and everything ran find until the next time i turned it off. I went to crank it over and it cranked over once and then it craped on itself and all the dash lights and stuff went off. I called one of my buddies for a jump and about 10 minutes went by and i tried to crank it over again and all of a sudden it started. I took the battery in and its fine. It hasnt done it since. What couldve it have been a loose connection or something? I didnt fool with nothing the only thing i did was take the battery cover off.

I had some ruff starts my self last week. It ended up being a loose neg. battery lead. Make sure everything is tightened up.

I would check all of your connections, make sure they are all tight specially your ground.

yup what they said had the same thing on my sporty. it wouldnt start and then just did, talked to my mech and he directed me to the battery connections and sure as **** the neg was loose, tightend her up and no more problems!!!
