Am I nuts for wanting to take the tank badge off for a speaker look. When I took the reflectors and stickers off, I sat staring at the tank trying to imagine it off. If I do, is it the same type of adhesive strip as the other stuff?

If you take it off, people will no longer know its a Harley. Everyone will think you traded for a Honda Shadow

I go back and forth on the Street Bob badge. I personally prefer a sticker under the clear, which I have had on every Harley I've owned with the exception of my 2004 Sportster.

In any case, I know people have removed them but I'm not sure if it's the same adhesive. A heat gun and goo gone or similar should do the trick. Have you checked out YouTube?

Same stuff. Dribble some WD 40 along the top of the badge, let it soak in, and cut through the adhesive with dental floss. Won't scratch your finish.

I put more effort into removing it then Moco did styling it, I was done in a minute.

My decals are under the clear.......I was looking for a badge that'll cover it because I really don't like the blue on.

wutta bout ... the "Low Rider" placard on the FXDL Battery Cover??

i was thinking about painting the chrome covers on each side black .. but to do so looks like some DA sanding is in order .. i would like to keep the placard stock as a bit of chrome splash on the cover ... so the question is .. is the placard glued on like the other stuff .. didn't see any other fasteners .. tia MBM48
