Width of stock Street Bob seat compared to Stripper
Gentlemen does anybody know the width of the stock solo seat vs the Stripper seat. Are they the same width or would the stock be wider. I know the stripper is lower. I want to make sure that if I get this seat it will bring me lower to the ground. Thanks in advance
RE: Width of stock Street Bob seat compared to Stripper
I have the HD "stripper" seat on my 2005 FXDCI...it looks GREAT
But I can tell you after having it for approx. 5000 miles...it won't be that comfortable for 500 miles.
I did a 3 day trip with it about 1100 miles total,,,I won't do that again...but it does LOOK great
I will use it forrides..3 hours or less...I will probably send it to Allen to have it redone with the miracle foam he uses
I am looking at the badlander or sidekick seats to see if they offer any more comfort....
but itdoes LOOK GREAT...really
RE: Width of stock Street Bob seat compared to Stripper
You didn't say what year bike you had but the stripper seat was about 2 inches wider than my stock seat on my 2005 DynaSuperglide Custom-FXDCI
The stripper seat measurements are on the website...then you cam measure the stock one you have.
I have no problem with the width of the stripper seat at 5'9'...but I am very flexable.
I have had some friends ride mine and tell me it felt very wide...it is 15 inches wide I believe.
