Default Street Bob Rocker Box Cover Bolts Removal?

Anyone have a solution for removing the left rocker box cover bolts that are blocked by the frame? Service manual says to use a "7/16 Snap-On dogbone torque adapter". I don't have this adapter, nor do I really want to order one for $30 to remove a couple bolts. Any way around this with a different tool? An allen wrench could probably fit in there to remove them, but then I'd need a way to put them back in at the correct torque spec (15-18 ft lbs).

If you don't want to get the right tool, you'll have to improvise. Like you said, you can use an allen wrench. If you do, you can get a "feel" for the torque by correctly torquing the ones you can reach and then try to get the other one close by using your allen wrench on the correctly torqued ones and then applying similar torque to the other one. At least that's one alternative.

Under $20 right off truck. Also proto can be found for about $20. Both still USA made tools.

I'm almost 100% sure I just used a closed end wrench on that one. Put it back in by feel. I can say for sure I didn't buy any special tool to do it with. Been done for going on five years now...never had any issues. I've done both my bikes without the dog bone or anything else fancy. I did have to re-tighten one back bolt on the Street Glide I didn't get tight enough but that's it.
