I have an opportunity to buy a low mileage 2014 FXDC at a reasonable price and wanted to know your thinking on this bike. I know it is discontinued but is there anything I need to know before I drop the hammer. My last HD was a new 04 1200 but until recently was riding a GW. Thanks for your input. Richard tn47
The 2014 FXDC will be unique in that it was a short production run prior to the release of the new Low Rider. What makes it unique is it is the only FXDC with the 103 cu.in. engine. Other than that it is exactly the same as a 2013.
With that said the Low Rider offers things that the FXDC doesn't have such as dual disc brakes, adjustable bars, adjustable seat, mag wheels, "more forward" mid- controls and a 2 into 1 exhaust.
With that said the Super Glide is a great bike that you should be able to get at a good price.
What color and how much are you paying?

I know that new, and barely used '13 FXDCs are all over the internet, at low, low prices. You may want to consider a '13, if you don't mind the '96 c.i.
12k with 1100 miles and 8 months warranty remaining. Color is a light gray. Tnx tn47
If it is bone stock I would say that is a tad high in price. What extras are added, if any? As a point of reference I paid $12,500 in June of 2103 for a new '13 with two tone paint and the smooth spoked rims. I added a windshield, backrest and luggage rack when I bought it so they did get some extra money out of me.
The Low Riders have softened the market for Super Glides but it is still an awesome bike. For fun try chewing them down a thousand. If you planning on holding on to it forever then paying a little more for a basically new bike will be meaningless in the long run. Good luck and keep us posted!!
I have the same bike 2014 2 tone paint. Check how you fit on it, as I dislike the mid-controls and will be putting on forwards in the winter. Like Six said, bike should be mint at that price.
All things being equal, the FXDC is one of the most adaptable bikes in the Harley inventory. As the other guys have said, if the fit and finish are good, you probably have a good deal at $10,000 to $11,000. Good luck!
