I ended up ordering both the All ***** and the Timkens. I also bought the Pit Posse tool that Imold suggested.

I'll pull the seals off them, as well as the factory bearings, to compare what they look like inside, just out of curiosity.

My plan is to pull the rear wheel off this weekend to replace the tire and check the bearings. If they feel perfectly smooth, I might still install the Timkens, or I might just put them on the shelf for future use.

You happen to know the part number you used?

Hey Reindeer take pics of what you see when you pull the seal and of the new bearings you ordered - inquiring minds want to see/learn! Thanks!

I replace my wheel bearings every other tire change. I've got over 125K and have had several fail on me. Sometimes they start squeeling too.

They are inexpensive but you got to pay a tire tech to do it.

Here is what the inside of my new All ***** bearings look like that I have for an up coming wheel swap. metal cage too. I'm going to give them a shot if my front wheel ever shows up, but I'll be sure and keep a close eye on them. Also ordered up the install/puller tool.

Finally got everything together and had a few minutes to get something done.

Pulled one bearing out and popped the seals off to compare. To be honest, they all look almost identical. Spinning them in my hand, the All Ballz and Timken feel exactly the same, but the stock one with 20k miles on it, while still smooth, is definitely a little loose. I can feel some side to side play. I'm sure they have some miles left, but I'd be surprised if it made it to the next tire change.

I think I'm going to use the Timken in the rear, and the All Ballz in the front next time I have the wheel off.

I'm going to add a little more grease though. Just doesn't seem like enough to me, even though it probably is.

I replaced stock front and rear on my ultra at 130k just because. No issues but was going on a 6k road trip and had the wheels off for tires. Put stock back in. Riding buddy had a rear fail at 100k and has 120k on front. I don't tend to overthink things.
