handle bar shaking on decel
when slowing down i have to hold tight on the bars because around 40 mph i get a nasty shake out of the front wheel. if i let go the bars would slap the tank. any suggstions. i have checked the bearing in the triple tree and everything was tight and looked good, tires is a avon cobra with 6000 miles on it and it looks good not cupping

The next thing I'd look at is the front engine isolator, when that isolator starts to fail and collapse you'll get some nasty decel shuddering 
Crawl under the bike and shine a flashlight up at the isolator, if the rubber is contacting the engine bracket vibrations are transferring directly to the frame...
