Last week I sold my 03 Road King then yesterday I bought an 07 Street Bob with 18000 miles, K&N air filter, Python 2-1 exhaust and a K&N fuel pack. So far I have only put 100 miles on it so I am still undecided if I made the right decision. I really like the way the Bob handles, light weight, quick throttle response, easy to throw around in the twisties, and of course the 96" and the 6 speed. However I'm not crazy about the suspension. I had an 02 Superglide and I don't remember it riding as rough as the 07 Street Bob (maybe its just my old age showing now?). The Bob has adjustable YSS shocks on the rear but I am not sure how to adjust them. There is a **** at the bottom of the shock that adjusts preload but there is no indicator to show if turning it adds more or less preload. Any of you guys running YSS shocks that can tell me which way the **** turn to add/reduce preload on the shock?
Edit- I'm told that the YSS shocks are a copy of the Ohlins

Post a photo of the shocks. I checked their web site but I didn't see bottom adjustable shocks. All of them had the preload on top of the shock.
which shocks do you have?

I don't know how to post a pic on here but here is a link. I just bought the bike yesterday and I didn't install the shocks so I do not know for sure if this is the same exact shock I have. But from looking on their web site this is the only one that looks exactly like the shocks on my bike. They are the Z-302 series
There is a little black **** at the base of the YSS shock that turns. I never had shocks like these, only the stock shocks on my Super Glide and Sporty and the air shocks on my Electra Glide and Road King.
