Hey guys, i'm normally snooping around the sporty section but today i am in need of some help. I have a co-worker with a 14' fat bob who is looking for either a fairing or a decent looking detachable windshield (not from HD).
I am looking more for your experiences. Where you purchased it from? How was the installation? I've already put together a rough estimate on the cost but there's always some hidden fee's in there, so cost would be appreciated..
He really likes the Memphis Shades Batwing fairing but wants more options/opinions.
I put this National Cycle wind screen on my 14 Fat Bob. I wanted the smoked screen but ordered the clear. Oh well. I had to dremmel the screen where it wraps around the head lights because the screen sat too high on the light housings. I've had a lot of compliments, it's discreet, not too high, and does a great job of deflecting the wind off your chest, very little head buffeting also. 15 seconds to remove and reinstall.
I'm a big fan of the Hate Machine fairings, waiting to pull the trigger an get one. Best looking fairing for the FXDF in my opinion. Just looks hard. I guess there is a visibility issue for really short people though

agreed, i really like the looks of it, but he wont buy it unless he can see through the screen...he's a bit short lol.
