Default 02 sensor code on 2014 fld

I just had a check engine light come on and the code read 02 sensor. My bike has about 2,700 miles on it so it's still fairly new. I did just install a new slip on muffler that I purchased from HD. There were no sensors in the way when I installed it. Could it possibly be a difference in back pressure that is causing the code?

Also is it ok to ride with this code? I plan to bring it to the dealer this week end to have it looked at.

My psychic ability indicates that it's throwing an O2 sensor code.

I do think there is a "Front" or "Rear" attached to the O2 sensor codes.

OP: check your O2 connections, especially where they connect to the pipes. After a dyno tune once where the tuner had taken off my pipes to install a better exhaust gasket, the O2 sensor was loose and throwing a code.

With the later bikes its probably the O2 sensor 'heater' (a new and irritating cond-ish for CAN/BUS bikes).. both of mine went bad after about 1800 miles.. replaced both under warranty no issues since.

my rear o2 sensor went stupid on me after changing the head pipe.Fortunatelly they only cost about 55 bucks so I said F the warranty and rather than tie it up at the stealer for who knows how long and risk other damage at the hands of hacks I just decided to change the damn thing.Just don't touch the part of the sensor that goes in the pipe!!!
