So the wife has a 15 street bob. Has the stock 103 derby cover. She doesn't care for any of the covers HD currently carries. I've seen lots of aftermarket ones, but I'm a little concerned about some of their quality. If she could have her way, she'd like derby cover w the HD bar and shield logo - but I'm guessing if HD doesn't currently have it, Nobody else will since its trademarked, right?

I got some 1" galvanized pipe the other day from a locally owned hardware store. Noticed that one of the elbows wasn't square. Then I noticed "made in China". Well what the hell.
My SG came with the Aluminator series derby and other trim pieces. This series has the HD shield inlaid in a long oval cut. I laid my SG down on a wet road awhile back and scratched the derby pretty much so good so I went hunting for a replacement...and found it was an obsolete part, lucky me.
They were out there but few and far between. Had a member here offer me a NOS for $100 shipped but I had seen them lower on evil bay so I waited. I finally followed a tip from another member here and scored pristine one from Canada for $50 'Merican, shipped to my door.
