I would like to pull the trigger on some 3 degree Accutronix trees for my 09 Dyna Superglide Custom.
I would also like to install raked 3 degree cups from Vulcan. From What I am told, Accutronix trees will not be compatible with cups if there is an extended stem. The forks will not line up between the trees. Also the Accutronix stem is threaded and I don't know if the Vulcan one is also?
Has anyone made these two modifications successfully? If so, I wondering how durable these cups are. Once installed should there be anything to worry about (wearing down, coming loose?)
Does anybody have experience with installing these as well? what does it entail?
One last thing is that I will be using longer fork tubes to get more of a stretched look. I was wondering if it is best to go 2" over or 4" over?
Here in Canada HD wants $460 for a pair of wideglide tubes. I understand that it is best to use "Hard Chrome" I don't know if I can find a quality pair for the same or less money after the Canadian/US exchange rate.
A lot of questions here but hopefully some people can share some experiences
are you looking to go wide glide or mid glide. I have a set of raked trees from a 2007 lowrider that I would be interested in trading for the nonsked versions. PM me if you are interested.
