Default Removing front exhaust mount bracket w/o disturbing engine?

I'm tired of looking at the front bracket poking out from under the crankcase. It's really tight under there. Anybody know if the bolts can be removed without disturbing the engine mounting? I don't want to open that can of worms just yet. It will likely force me to do a ton of "while I'm in there" work like engine mounts and oil cooler lines and such. I'd also rather not start cutting under there.

What are my options?

I think there was a post on it, if I remember someone mentioned a special tool to remove it, but I've been known to be wrong before, twice. Should've made my log in name 2Ex's.

I need to make/buy some low profile Allen wrenches anyway, so tools aren't a problem. I'm a tool ***** anyway.

Asssuming Ii can get a wrench in there, my biggest concern was having room to actually turn the bolts all the way out.

Same issue with my FXDB when I removed the stock exhaust. Couldn't stand looking at that bracket pokin' out. Tried everything, finally resorted to the delicate application of an angle grinder...removed the inboard bolt, ground the head off the problem bolt, removed the bracket, removed the bolt stub with vise grips. If you're careful you can get it done without "grrrrring" anything up.

That's good to hear. Maybe I'll take the cut-off to it while I'm cutting off my struts.

I've got almost 60k on the bike so it's getting time to dig into the clutch and cam case, but I'm really not looking to pull the drivetrain for a couple years.

Thinking further on this... Did you remove the exhaust before doing this? Bike on a stand or table? (I don't have a table...yet...)

I ran into the same problem when switching to V&H Big Shots.
I just left it.
To this day, I have yet to be approached by anyone saying a word about it.
I have never heard;
"God Look at that!! He left the stock lower exhaust bracket on!!"

Subscribing.

My dad was checking my bike out one time and sat on it. When he was getting off the bike, he commented that I had done so much to the bike but why didn't I remove the "that" bracket. I been wanting to get rid of it ever since and looked at it once while doing cam swap earlier this year and still didn't see an easy way of removing it without lifting the engine.
