To start with your adjuster shoe will be shot. Chain and sprockets not in good shape, clutch plates should be OK. How did this happen or should't I ask.
Dealer performed the 1,000 break-in service last October along with the race tuner, pipes, A/C and dyno and ampping.I was went in and purchased the recommended fluids, filters and "O" rings and service manual and came home tochange the fluids for the Spring.Drained3 out and put 3 in - in the motor, 1 out and one in - in the transmission and then drained the primary and got exactly 1/4 cup out. Very grey colored fluid. Dealer said they will pick up the bike. Should I be seeking a total rebuild of the primary (front/rear primary bearings, sprokets, chain, adjuster shoes and clutch)? What about the crank? I'm very unhappy at this point.
jonesy, pull off the primary cover and have a look for yourownself.
Everything in there should be replaced.
Take pictures.
I am not so sure I would even let the same dealership
anywhere near my machine at this point.

This whole deal is making me sick, 2,500 total miles and things are being rebuilt due to incompetence. How F-ing hard is it to drain out one quart and replace it with another. I know these mechanic stations do not ahve bulk fluid hoses like a quick change oil shop, which makes me believe that the Tech had to physically go and get the three Qt's of Syn and Two Qt's Formula +. So you drain and replace and even then if you forget one don't you think you would notice a full quart of Formula + setting at your work station?
I gotta tell you, it makes me want to go back to the dark side of sport bikes. I know that this could have happened to any bike, but after finally giving up on the sport bike thing and laying out the cash and buying theHarley and now this. I did not buy a brand new expensive bike to have a rebuilt primary at 2,500 miles. Damn I'm angry.
